Taiwanese flavor goes global with a must-have in 2024: the classic Kaoliang liquor! EVERRICH Duty Free Shop, a stalwart in Taiwan’s duty-free market for nearly 30 years, collaborates for the first time with Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor (KKL), renowned for over 70 years. After over a year of research, design, and blending, they proudly introduce two exclusive global offerings: “KKL Time Collection 6.50” priced at NT$1,800 and “KKL Time Collection 6.55” priced at NT$1,950. These fine spirits are now available exclusively in limited quantities across all EVERRICH locations.
According to EVERRICH Duty Free Shop, these Kaoliang liquors were meticulously crafted by KKL’s Chief Master Blender and Head of Spirits Design (酒體設計中心), I-Ju Lu, using over 70 years of distillation and blending expertise. They blend six distinct styles of aged liquor from KKL’s Kincheng and Kinning plants, aged for a total of 50 and 55 years respectively, preserving the original flavors with an alcohol content of 59.8%.
The bottle design features frosted glass inspired by the eternal and precious essence of time, encapsulating the essence of time within the liquor. The main visual, depicted in calligraphic style resembling the character “T”, symbolizes Time (Eternal Time), while the enlarged “T” emphasizes Taiwan’s visibility.
Kevin Chiang, General Manager of EVERRICH D.F.S. CORPORATION, pointed out that Kinmen Kaoliang liquor is a must-buy souvenir for foreign tourists visiting Taiwan. EVERRICH is delighted to partner with Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor to bring these two rich Kinmen original liquors to airports and harbors. In addition, to allow more people to taste these two Kaoliang liquors, from now until June 30th, Home Garden Restaurant on the 5th floor of EVERRICH’s Taipei Downtown Store, Neihu, is offering four limited-time dishes featuring KKL Time Collection liquors. These dishes include Pork with Fermented Bean Curd and Sesame Sauce created using fermented bean curd with Kaoliang, Sichuan Fish Fillet with Pickled Vegetable enhanced with Kaoliang, Taiwanese Sausages Sautéed with Sorghum, and Teriyaki Chicken Meatballs glazed with a special teriyaki sauce and Kaoliang liquor, catering to diverse palates.
