Artist HSU Chun Yu places people at the heart of her creations, exploring a variety of scenes and characters from everyday life. Through photography and quick sketches, HSU captures moments brimming with intrigue. The artist draws inspiration from subtle, story-rich fragments of daily life—be it a bustling market vendor or a fleeting street encounter—that leave vivid impressions in her mind. These ordinary images are reimagined and transformed into unique visual expressions.
This exhibition showcases the artist’s meticulous perspective and interpretation of vitality through the mediums of copper and iron wires. Each strand of metal, like a dancer gracefully moving through the air, bends and twists to guide viewers through Taiwan’s farmlands and markets, evoking the vibrancy of Taiwanese life and spirit. Under the light, the metal wires take on ever-changing forms, reflecting Taiwan’s unique history, culture, and emotions.
