Intertwined Gazes: Between Seeing and Being Seen:Chen Ying Ru Solo exhibition
2025.02.26 - 2025.05.27

EVERRICH is committed to promoting local culture. This time, the gallery presents an exhibition that allows travelers an opportunity to explore Taiwan’s unique religious beliefs and how they have added to the island’s cultural heritage. The power of deities and the sacred have played a vital role throughout Taiwanese history, leaving a lasting impact on religion, faith, and artistic creation. When captivated by works inspired by mythology, religion, and legend, it is less mere appreciation of artistic talent and something more akin to a silent dialogue with the divine.

Chen Ying Ru draws inspiration from Taiwanese folklore and traditional culture, weaving together stories and events from daily life with her unique perspective. Her works are infused with emotions and imagination, characterized by vivid colors and playful forms that showcase a deeply personal artistic language.
The pieces on display reveal the diversity and cultural significance of deities, allowing viewers to experience the charm of art and the profound strength of culture through “intertwined gazes” with the artworks.
