Taoyuan International Airport’s Dining Upgrade – New Food Court in Terminal 1 Delights Lunar New Year Travelers

2025.01.22

To satisfy the taste buds of the large number of outbound travelers during the Lunar New Year, Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 1 has launched a brand-new food court, “Foodie Delight,” near the B4 waiting lounge. This new addition features popular Taiwanese hand-shaken beverage brand Guiji, international fast-food chain Burger King, and Hómee Rice, a self-operated restaurant by EVERRICH Duty Free Shop, hence bringing a mix of Taiwanese flavors, international tastes, and diverse dining experiences to the airport.

Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 1 primarily serves flights operated by Cathay Pacific Airways, most low-cost carriers, and selected routes of China Airlines and STARLUX Airlines. Travelers who clear immigration early can not only shop at duty-free stores, but also enjoy a variety of food options. In addition to Bistro: D, the only restaurant at Taoyuan International Airport serving flame-grilled aged boneless short ribs, Terminal 1 also features Hómee Kitchen, which offers a “drive-thru” style payment counter, self-service kiosks, and a collaboration with serenity, a Bib Gourmand-recommended vegetarian restaurant, introducing dishes such as sweet and sour vegetarian chicken bites.

With the surge in outbound travelers during the New Year season, Hómee Rice, newly opened near the B4 waiting lounge, embraces “the taste of home” concept by carefully selecting local Taiwanese ingredients. It specializes in classic Taiwanese home-style rice dishes such as thick-cut pork chop rice and Taiwanese-Style Hainanese chicken rice. In collaboration with Yang Ming Spring (Shilin), a Michelin Green Star restaurant, the menu also features Thai Basil Minced Pork Rice and Thai Green Curry Meatballs, allowing travelers to savor unique flavors before departing Taiwan.

Guiji, known for its dedication to carefully selecting high-quality ingredients and collaborating with artisans who uphold strict quality standards, is committed to crafting pure and uniquely flavored beverages. Making its debut at Taiwan’s international airport, Guiji is launching an exclusive airport-only menu which differentiates it from its other stores within the city. Now, passengers inside the restricted area of Terminal 1 no longer need to head to Terminal 2 for their favorite hand-shaken drinks.

As the world’s second-largest fast food chain, Burger King is renowned for offering high-quality products, delicious meals, and reasonable prices. Its signature menu items include flame-grilled American-style burgers, crispy fries, and chicken nuggets, which have made it a favorite among customers worldwide. Currently, Burger King operates stores outside the restricted areas of both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at Taoyuan International Airport. Recently, it has expanded into the restricted area of Terminal 1, near the B4 waiting lounge, thus providing travelers with even more fast food options before their departure.

Those taking red-eye flights need not worry about late-night dining options. Although most airport stores close before 11 PM, the Yo-Kai Express Ramen Vending Machine, located in front of the A7 E-Library, ensures that travelers can enjoy hot Ippudo Hakata-style Tonkotsu Pork Ramen and spicy Tonkotsu Chilled Noodles 24/7, hence providing warmth and comfort before departure.

EVERRICH Duty Free Shop has announced a series of festive activities during the Lunar New Year which Fortune God blessings and lion dance performances to welcome outbound travelers. As part of its commitment to professionalism and innovation, EVERRICH Duty Free Shop sees the airport not just as a transit point but as a destination for shopping and gourmet exploration. Moving forward, it will continue to introduce more Taiwanese and international specialty cuisines, ensuring travelers enjoy a diverse and enriching dining experience while waiting for their flights—making the airport a great place to shop, explore, and dine.
