Kaohsiung International Airport Welcomes New Flight Routes! Delightful MICHELIN Guide Cuisine to Elevate Travelers’ Dining Experience
Kaohsiung International Airport has resumed operations to 70% of its destinations and 80% of all flights, with new routes to Okayama, Phú Quốc, and Busan launching last week. To cater to the tastes of travelers arriving on these new routes, MICHELIN Guide-recommended restaurants, including Serenity and Lin Dong Fang Beef Noodles, have recently opened locations at Kaohsiung International Airport, enriching travelers’ dining experience with premium cuisine while they are waiting for their flights, leaving them with unforgettable culinary memories of Taiwan.
Long dedicated to serving travelers at the frontlines of Taiwan’s international gateways, EVERRICH Duty Free Shop not only offers high-quality retail services but also understands the dining needs of travelers through its restaurant, hómee KITCHEN. The shop strives to provide a diverse range of dining options. Hui-chun Tsao, Manager of the Public Affairs Office at EVERRICH Duty Free Shop, emphasized that MICHELIN cuisine represents high quality and refined flavors, and its brand reputation and trustworthiness assure travelers of a top-tier experience. The pursuit of excellence embodied by MICHELIN cuisine is also a key part of the high-quality experience EVERRICH Duty Free Shop aims to provide to every traveler.
Among them, Lin Dong Fang Beef Noodles, which was once featured in the MICHELIN Guide Bibendum recommendation in Taipei, has expanded to Taipei Songshan Airport and Kaohsiung International Airport after its successful debut at Taoyuan International Airport. Known for its rich broth made from vegetables, beef bones, and offal cuts, paired with tender beef shank, it offers travelers the signature Lin Dong Fang Braised Beef Noodle Deluxe Set (林東芳紅燒牛肉麵臻選套餐) (NT$360), serving the authentic flavor that has been beloved for half a century. Those who’ve tried it have praised it, saying, “The broth and beef taste just like they do at the restaurant!”
With the growing awareness of health, environmental protection, and animal welfare, the trend toward vegetarian dining is on the rise. EVERRICH Duty Free Shop has observed this trend and introduced MICHELIN Guide-endorsed vegetarian restaurants to the airport. Among them is Serenity, the only vegetarian restaurant in Taipei to receive the MICHELIN Guide Bibendum recommendation for seven consecutive years. In collaboration with hómee KITCHEN, it offers the Sweet and Sour Veggie Chicken Rice (NT$238) at Taoyuan and Kaohsiung International Airports. The dish features a perfectly balanced sweet and sour sauce made with non-GMO veggie chicken, offering a crispy exterior and tender, juicy interior, redefining public perceptions of vegetarian food.
Additionally, Yang Ming Spring (Shilin), a restaurant awarded the MICHELIN Green Star in Taiwan four times, has expanded to Taipei Songshan and Taichung International Airports. Its Thai Basil Stir-Fried Ground Pork with Jasmine Rice set (泰式打拋香米飯套餐), priced at NT$280, and exclusive Green Curry Meatballs (泰式綠咖哩小丸子) collaboration with hómee KITCHEN, priced at NT$320, bring authentic Thai flavors with a fresh twist to the airport dining experience.
Hui-chun Tsao highlighted that professionalism and innovation are central values at EVERRICH Duty Free Shop. Whether travelers crave Taiwan’s iconic beef noodles or vibrant vegetarian dishes, the addition of MICHELIN cuisine has transformed the airport into a culinary destination. Looking ahead, EVERRICH Duty Free Shop plans to continue introducing gourmet offerings, allowing travelers to enjoy exquisite dining experiences right at the airport, without having to go out of their way to visit a restaurant.
